This blog posting was very insightful and educational. I really thank you for posting it. I am on ravelry and came across your blog. My husband is taking a class at SFSU about Native Americans and U.S. Laws. Since he is disabled, I help him and it has really taught me some wonderful things.
I do hope that this course includes the truth-that we are the most oppressed Culture in this country. Treaties with the individual Aboriginal Nations are not honored although they are a part of the US Constitution. We, by Federal Law, do NOT have freedom of religion.
It goes on and on. But IMHO, if the course is teaching the TRUTH, there is very little that is "wonderful".
